Conformity and responsibility

For STEGO, acting responsibly is not an add-on, but a fundamental principle of our corporate identity. Compliance with international standards, legal requirements and voluntary commitments forms the basis of our daily activities.

Whether code of conduct, ISO certifications or regulatory requirements such as RoHS and conflict minerals - we stand for transparency, safety and sustainable value creation along the entire supply chain. This is how we create trust among customers, partners and employees worldwide.

CODE OF CONDUCT

The STEGO Code of Conduct is based on the international standards of the ZVEI Code of Conduct. It defines the ethical principles that we pursue as a company with regard to responsible conduct.

The voluntary application of this code serves as a self-commitment that is actively communicated not only internally, but also to our valued partners, customers and suppliers. Our commitment goes beyond mere compliance - it is an expression of our dedication to the highest standards and trusting cooperation.

Integrity, fairness and transparency are at the heart of our business activities. We expect our employees and business partners to consistently comply with applicable laws, social responsibility and sustainable business practices. The Code of Conduct creates a binding framework for this and strengthens mutual trust along the entire value chain.

CONFIRMATION Highest STANDARDS

Quality is the product of a self-imposed obligation. STEGO therefore committed itself early and consistently to certification in accordance with internationally recognized ISO management standards.

For the benefit of our customers, partners and employees, STEGO will unwaveringly place the highest priority on safety, risk minimization, environmental protection and health care in all processes of operational value creation and pay attention to sustainable, transparent and traceable structures along the entire value chain.

EU RoHS

STEGO products fulfill the RoHS requirements. We document this with our declaration of conformity. RoHS stands for "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" and refers to an EU directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

The RoHS Directive first came into force in 2003 and has been updated several times since then. STEGO is currently compliant with the latest version of RoHS in order to give you, the customer, maximum security in terms of compliance.

CONFLICT MINERALS

According to the US Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act ( Dodd-Frank Act for short), tantalum, tin, tungsten, gold and their derivatives are currently classified as "conflict minerals" (often referred to as "3TG"). Conflict minerals can be mined in many places, particularly in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and its neighboring countries.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) defines conflict minerals as "3TG" regardless of where they are mined. However, according to SEC regulations, minerals are only considered "DRC conflict-free" if their extraction does not directly or indirectly benefit armed groups in the countries concerned. The OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas ("CAHRA") has a broader scope and covers all minerals, not just the "3TG". You are welcome to download our detailed Conflict Minerals Declaration under "Downloads".
