Climate protection prize

The first mayor of the city of Schwäbisch Hall, Mr. Peter Klink, presented STEGO Managing Director Michael Dehnert with the climate protection award of the city of Schwäbisch Hall. The award ceremony was accompanied by a delegation from the city and six members of the Climate Protection Advisory Board.

We were honored for our initiative to plant sustainable sponge city trees. With innovative soil conservation and water storage techniques, these trees make an important contribution to climate protection, the promotion of natural water cycles and adaptation to climate change.

However, these sponge city trees are just one element in our wider commitment to protecting the environment and climate. STEGO sees the EU's ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) commitments not only as a challenge, but as a clear opportunity to actively shape sustainable projects.

For example, we construct buildings according to the highest energy standards such as KfW40, consistently rely on solar energy - both for heating our buildings and for hot water - and use the electricity we generate ourselves directly on site for our operating processes. Our vision is to further expand these measures in the coming years and thus make a measurable contribution to the energy transition.

We look forward to making a long-term positive contribution to preserving our environment and protecting the climate. Our thanks go to the city of Schwäbisch Hall and the Climate Protection Advisory Board for this recognition - it motivates us to continue on our path.
