For STEGO, sustainability is not a reaction to requirements, but part of our corporate identity. As a family-run company, we combine technological innovation with long-term thinking and responsible behaviour.

Our ESG approach encompasses three clear areas of action: environmental responsibility, social responsibility and good corporate governance. They characterise our decisions, our products and our corporate culture - with the aim of further developing STEGO in a sustainable, resilient and value-oriented manner.

Protecting the environment

Sustainability is a management task for STEGO. Based on a comprehensive energy audit, we have set ourselves the goal of achieving a balanced carbon footprint in our direct business operations by 2030.

We are pursuing this goal through clear measures: the expansion of renewable energies, energy-efficient building concepts, modern heating and cooling systems and consistent resource management. Photovoltaics, heat recovery and the conscious use of materials are just as relevant as digital processes to avoid waste and raw material consumption.

We also consider sustainability from the outset in product development - from material-efficient design to reparability and recyclability.

People at the centre

A company is only as strong as the people who support it. That is why social responsibility is an integral part of our corporate strategy at STEGO. Appreciation, reliability and respect characterise our cooperation - internationally and across locations.

We create framework conditions that promote personal responsibility and participation: flexible working time models, modern working environments and clear decision-making structures. We see diversity as a strength - different perspectives increase innovative strength and decision-making quality.

Knowledge is a strategic resource for us. We ensure long-term expertise through targeted training programmes, talent development and cross-departmental exchange. We use digital tools and data-based analyses responsibly to continuously improve processes.

We also take responsibility beyond the company. We are particularly committed to education with STEM initiatives and school partnerships. We also support associations and social projects - both regionally and internationally - and thus consciously invest in social stability and sustainability.

At STEGO, responsible corporate management is the basis for stability and long-term success. Clear structures, transparent decision-making processes and binding standards ensure reliability - both internally and externally.

Integrated risk management enables us to recognise developments at an early stage and take well-founded action. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications emphasise our commitment to quality, environmental management and occupational safety. This is complemented by a structured compliance system, regular audits and transparent reporting processes.

Digital control systems, data-based analyses and continuous process optimisation strengthen our resilience and reduce resource consumption. In this way, we combine corporate responsibility with sustainable, transparent action - long-term and value-orientated.

Our claim to good governance goes beyond formal requirements. For us, responsibility means taking equal account of opportunities and risks and combining economic success with integrity. In this way, we create trust among employees, partners and customers - as a reliable basis for sustainable growth.

Thinking sustainability further

Sustainability is not a finalised state, but a continuous development process. We critically scrutinise existing structures and continuously adapt our measures to new technological, regulatory and social conditions. Transparency and consistent further development are integral parts of our actions.

We will continue to systematically strengthen ecological, social and corporate responsibility in the future - with technical standards, clear governance and a long-term perspective.
